Assam Prawn

I am craving for this Assam prawn for long time and finally I found the recipe. It did came out great and I wish to share the recipe with you. Do enjoy!

300 gm prawn, leave the shell on
4 tbsp (size of pinpong ball) of Assam paste ( tamarind )
4 tbsp water
2 tbsp sugar
1/3 or 1/2 tbsp salt
cooking oil
Dash of dark soy sauce


Marinate the prawns with Assam paste that has been mixed with water.
Add in sugar and salt.

Add in dark soy sauce.
Marinate for 20-30 minutes.

Heat the wok with cooking oil.
Pour the prawn mixture into the wok and fry until cooked & dry.
Ready to serve!

If you don't want the prawn over cooked, take out the prawn and then continue fry the Assam gravy until thick.After the gravy thick,then toss the prawn back to wok to coat it.
Removed from wok and ready to serve.
