Almond Tuiles


Ingredients:-
  • 1/2 cup ( 2 oz/60g ) cake flour ( soft-wheat )
  • 2/3 cup confectioner's sugar ( or reduce to 2/4 cup )
  • 2 large eggs white
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract ( essence )
  • 1 tsp almond extract ( essence )
  • 1/4 cup ( 2oz/ 60g ) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 3/4 cup sliced almonds
Steps:-
  1. Pre heat oven to 350 degree F ( 180 degree C ).
  2. Stir the flour and confectioners' sugar.
  3. Add egg whites, vanilla extract, almond extract and whisk until smooth, about 2 minutes.
  4. Whisk in the melted butter until blended and the batter is smooth and shine.

Using 1 tbsp of batter for each cookies and spreading them with narrow, thin offset metal spatula. Scatter sliced almonds over the top of each cookies.

( If you would like the cookies smaller size and thiner, just use 1 tsp will do )


Spacing them about 3 inches apart.

BAke the cookies until they have a border that is evenly brown, but the centre remain light gold, 6 - 8 minutes.

Ready to eat! You can store the cooled cookies carefully because they break easily.
